Resilience: the attitude towards pain

I love the poetic ambivalence of a scar that has two messages:
here it hurt and here it healed.

Luis Madeira.

The wounds of the soul are invisible to the naked eye. But, they are a constitutive part of our being...they are part of our past history and shape who we are at present.

We all have the ability to break through the pain, resignify it and take the positive out of it. Or...just surrender.

—-Whenever it rained, the sun came out— goes the saying. But not everyone achieves to see the rainbow that comes after (and sometimes during) the storm.

It is a choice. Pain cannot be avoided, but we can decide the attitude we take towards it.
